Distribution

Described as new to science using specimens from the River Ure, North Yorkshire in 2006 (Bielecki et al. 2012). Now recorded from across England and in Wales. Discovered in the Scottish Borders in 2016. Recent records from 137 hectads.

Habitat and ecology

Ectoparasite of freshwater fish. Little is known of the ecology of this species however it has been found in a variety of running waters.

Red dots are historical (> 10 years old), black dots current (<= 10 years old).
